Confirming the Shift from Anxiety to Excitement

Interviewer： Before you depart for this tour, could each of you share your thoughts and feelings about it?

SHIN： This is my first time doing an overseas tour, and it’s my first time touring with NANO as well. There are so many firsts, and I still don’t know what to expect, but I just want to enjoy it with everyone, including the locals.

LIN： Whether it’s in Canada or America or Mexico, I just want each day of the tour to be a live show where we can say, "That was the best!" and make it the best experience for everyone.

KAƵUKI： I’m a bit nervous about who will come and how many people will attend, but I really want to make sure everyone who shows up has a great time. If we look like we’re having fun, that energy will definitely reach the audience. I just want to make this the best tour possible.

YOU-TA： I’m really excited that this isn’t just our tour. It’s such a valuable experience to be touring with NANO, who is both a rival and a partner. I just want to enjoy each day and make the most of it.

NANO： Honestly, I have so many feelings about this. First of all, I’m so happy and honored to be able to tour with MADKID on their first overseas tour. And after my own overseas tour last year, I was thinking, “How can I surpass what I did last time?” When I found out it would be a two-man tour, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but talking with everyone today has really helped me turn any anxiety into excitement. I’m certain of that now.

NANO： Honestly, if I were to describe MADKID in English, I’d say they’re “mature.” They are adults who are pursuing their dreams but also facing reality. They’re artists who don’t get carried away, and I really resonate with that. Being with them is always calming, and I feel very comfortable around them.

YOU-TA： I had a lot of anxiety at first, but talking with NANO today, I feel like it’s all gone.

KAƵUKI： Yeah, after that advice earlier, the weight has been lifted. I’m really glad we had this opportunity before departure.

YOU-TA： I’m also looking forward to trying out some drinks overseas, so I’ll make sure to enjoy that experience as well (laughs).

NANO – Profile

Born in New York, USA, NANO is a bilingual singer with exceptional vocal ability, fluent in both Japanese and English. She began posting covers of Western songs on platforms like YouTube in 2010, gaining significant support from users both domestically and internationally. MADKID is a five-member dance-vocal group consisting of two rappers and three vocalists.
